Arrival at Colombo International Airport. Home with a necklace
of flowers and transfer to Negombo. Installation at the hotel and time
free to rest, recover from jet lag and enjoy the

Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Sigiriya. Lunch along the way
then visit the Citadel of Sigiriya or

Jour 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Very early departure for Hiriwaduna, small
village bordering a reservoir that you will reach on foot (approximately
45 minutes of easy level). You will cross a banana plantation,
enjoy a local drink and continue the ride through
the fields to discover the many cultures and spices of the
region. An ox cart ride and you're seated for a
typical lunch prepared by a Sri Lankan family, served on a
banana leaf, at the edge of the water. Departure for Polonnaruwa.
Visit the site by bike (flat course, easy and accessible to all).
Possibility to visit the site by bus. You will see during the visit:
Royal Palace, Dalada Maluwa (Tooth Terrace), Rankot Vihara
(Dagoba) and Gal Vihara (Sanctuary of the Rock with the Buddha
layer). Depending on the heat and the physical capacity of
everyone, the participants will be able to abandon the bikes throughout
of the course and continue the visit on board the bus following this same
route. Discovery of a woodcarving workshop. Return
in Sigiriya. En route, walk in a rice field (about 10

Jour 4

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Rock and the Golden Temple of
Dambulla. Inside this rock is a set of
caves that house the historic temple of Dambulla, one of the
the oldest Buddhist shrines in the country. Pursuit to
Matale to visit a spice garden for which Sri Lanka
is very well known. This is an opportunity to learn more about
culture of spices and its various processes of transformation. Tasting of tea with spices. Enjoy a massage (approximately
10 min.) Feet, head or shoulders. Then you can
learn how to make curry powder and participate in the elaboration
of a dish, colored by spices ... Lunch in the garden, dish

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit of the botanical gardens of Peradeniya
: among the most beautiful in the world, they have the most beautiful
tropical species of trees, spices, flowers and fruits, on
nearly 60 hectares. Lunch in Ramboda. Departure by the famous
mountain road of tea towards Nuwara Eliya. You

Breakfast at the hotel then departure for Tissamaharama. On the way,
Discovery of the Ella Rawana waterfall and lunch. Discovery of
Yala Reserve dedicated to the protection and preservation of
animal life and wild vegetation; you will certainly
the opportunity to see elephants, bears, deer,
wild buffaloes or crocodiles in the coastal lagoons.
The lucky ones will be able to cross there the majestic leopard. This
Reserve is a national park, located between Nuwara Eliya and the Coast
West, famous for its hordes of elephants. The visit is done in

Jour 7

After breakfast, departure for Galle via Weligama famous for its
fishermen perched on sticks in the sea. Visit Galle, peaceful
city of 76 000 inhabitants which was the main Dutch counter of
Ceylon, whose port was once very active and the hub of the
trade in spices. Discovery of the fort and the ramparts, the church
and colonial houses. Lunch at Galle and continuation by the coast
to Koggala. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. (B,L,D)

Jour 8

Breakfast and morning free to take some colors and enjoy
the huge beach. After lunch at the hotel, departure for the visit of the capital:
Colombo. Known since the 8th century by Arab, Persian and
Chinese, this village nestled between two dunes, served as a counter on the road
spices. Today, Colombo is the political and economic headquarters of the
country. Dinner free. Transfer to Colombo airport and assistance to
